Colombo Strikers Preview

Niroshan Dickwella will return to the side after missing the last game. He would be happy with his players' efforts as they defeated B-Love Kandy by 9 runs and kept hopes alive for the playoffs. Inconsistency has hurt the team, and Dickwella would want a good show from his key players to reach the next round.  

The side will expect a special knock from Babar Azam as he opens the batting with Pathum Nissanka as they form a formidable pair. Dickwella must anchor the innings in the middle order with Nipun Dhananjaya and Mohammad Nawaz. Iftikhar Ahmed and Chamika Karunaratne are good finishers and will look to do the big-hitting in the final overs.  

The bowling attack has struggled in most games, and the team will need a good show from Naseem Shah and Iftikhar Ahmed at the start. Matheesha Pathirana has struggled with his lines and must do well in the middle overs with Chamika Karunaratne. Jeffrey Vandersay and Nawaz add variety to this attack.

They face a stronger team in this game and don't have a great record against them. Shanaka must lead from the front to take his side past the finishing line here.  

Tim Seifert has been in good form and will look to provide a good start, opening the batting with Bhanuka Rajapaksa. Dasun Shanaka and Shakib al Hasan have a lot of experience, and they must bat well in the middle order with Chad Bowes. Sohan de Livera and Sohan de Livera must do well down the order for the side to win.
