Hobart Hurricanes are struggling to get their feet stable this season. After winning three games in a row, they are now pointless in the next three games they play. Though one of the three games got abandoned, Hurricanes Women have failed to get past 120 runs in the remaining two. Skipper Elyse Villani is Hurrcane’s leading run-scorer with 225 runs in 6 innings at an average of 56.25. She has been consistent with the bat throughout the season. Except for the last game, Villani has scored a minimum of 39 runs in the last 5 games she has batted. She will be the batter to watch out for.
Villani’s opening partner Lizelle Lee has been average with the bat this season. Lee has scored 136 runs at a strike rate of 136, but her average is just 19.42. Hurricanes Women are struggling with the middle order. Naomi Stalenberg is the only batter who is performing in the middle. Stalenberg has 136 runs in 6 innings at a strike rate of 152.80 - the highest amongst the Hurricanes. No other Hurricanes Women's player has scored hundred-plus runs this season. The gap is so huge that the next in the line is Heather Graham with 68 runs.
Hurricanes’ bowling unit has been underperforming throughout the season which is one of the reasons why their campaign is suffering. Molly Strano (8) and Shabnim Ismail (7) are the only two standouts from Hobart’s side who have an economy of less than 6.5. All other bowlers have given more than 8.5 runs per over this season. In 7 games, the Hurricanes have managed to take just 29 wickets out of a possible 70.

Three wins in a row have given new hope for Perry’s team to secure the Eliminator berth. Skipper Ellyse Perry is leading the team by example. The opener is the leading run scorer for SSW with 293 runs at a strike rate of 131.39. Perry didn’t bowl in the first half of the season where the Sixers lost 5 games. But in the last three games, she bowled 6 overs to take 6 wickets. This included a five-fer in her first game as a bowler against Melbourne Renegades Women. She will be the batter to watch out for.
Her opening partner Maitlyn Brown is struggling a bit. Brown averages 17.75 this season. But her poor form is getting compensated with Ashleigh Gardner’s all-round performance this season. Gardner has scored 194 runs with the bat at number three and has taken 14 wickets at an economy of 7.40. But she has just two wickets in the last two games. Another all-rounder Chloe Tryon at number five for the Sixers has given the hitting boost to SSW in the middle. Tryon has 207 runs with a strike rate of 135.29.
Lauren Cheatle will be the bowler to watch out for along with Gardner. Cheatle is the leading wicket-taker for Sixers Women with 17 wickets at an average of 13.94 and an economy of 7.18. Linsey Smith will be helping Cheatle to create the destruction at the top. Smith has 8 wickets in 6 games at an economy of 5.38 - the least amongst the Sixers Women.

The weather will be sunny, with no chance of rain. The temperature will range between 11 and 20°C. The wind will be flowing from the west at 15-30 kmh. The Bellerive Oval pitch is known as a decent batting surface. Initially, batters might face some difficulties, but as the game progresses, the pitch tends to flatten out, facilitating easier stroke play. The ball comes onto the bat well, aiding the batters in playing their shots effectively.
