Despite the home advantage, NMP’s performance so far has been underwhelming, with two consecutive losses and a win the previous game, placing them at 7th place in the points table with a net run rate of -1.820 - the worst in this season.

In their opening match against NaMo Bandra Blasters, NMP suffered a 40-run defeat, managing only 131 runs in response to a target of 171. In bowling, a total of 3 out of 5 bowlers went for over 8 runs an over and in chase six batters got out on single-digit score. It was a total breakdown for the Panthers in all departments.

The subsequent game against SoBo Mumbai Falcons resulted in a 9-wicket loss, with NMP posting 132/8, which was chased down in just 11.5 overs. Just like the first game batters could not even cross the 140 mark and failed to take wickets resulting in yet another big loss for NMP.

In the third match, NMP almost failed to chase yet another sub-140 game against ARCS Andheri. Chasing 135, they reached the target with just 1 ball and 5 wickets to spare. If not for the six by Pragnesh Kanpillewar, this could have been a third consecutive loss for NMP. While their bowling has been utterly, the batting is yet look like they can cross 140 comfortably. NMP have much to improve in this game against the Tigers.

The Aakash Tigers Mumbai MWS are set to play their fourth match of the T20 Mumbai 2025 season against the North Mumbai Panthers at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. ATMWS have had a challenging start to the tournament, currently positioned seventh on the points table with three consecutive losses and a net run rate of +0.368. 

To their credit, the Tigers have suffered some very close losses including in unfortunate loss against Andheri by DLS method after scoring 211 runs batting first. In their opening match against the Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals, ATMWS fell short by 8 runs in a rain-affected game that was reduced to 9 overs a side. Chasing 95, the Tigers managed 88 in 9 overs.

The second match saw a high-scoring encounter where ATMWS posted an impressive 211/6, thanks to a blistering 68 off 33 balls by Vasim Khan and a rapid 46 off 22 by captain Shams Mulani. However, the match was curtailed due to rain, and Andheri clinched victory by 12 runs via the DLS method. In the last 3 dfeliveries before the rain, Andheri scored 14 runs, getting just above par as per DLS. 

In their third match, the Tigers narrowly lost to NaMo Bandra Blasters by just 1 run chasing 153, despite commendable performances from Jay Bista, who scored 55 off 48 balls, and Arjun Dani, who contributed 47 off 35. The Tigers have been so close yet so far from the victory. A win seems just around the corner for them. Can they get over the line against underperforming Pathers in this game?
