The games come thick and fast in the group stage of the 2025 T20 Blast and that is certainly the case for both Notts Outlaws and Worcestershire Rapids who will be engaging in their second game in 24 hours when this match gets underway at Trent Bridge on Saturday,
The Outlaws did not have far to travel on Friday evening when they went to Derby and returned home with a seven wickets (DLS) victory with seven balls remaining.
As for the Rapids, they were the hosts on Friday evening but were too hospitable to their guests from Northamptonshire who went home as happy Steelbacks after winning by 31 runs.
It means that the Outlaws are two points above the Rapids ahead of this game and there is still plenty to play for in the north group ahead of this fixture on Saturday evening.

It was a fine performance in Derby on Friday from Notts Outlaws who firstly took nine wickets as they restricted Derbyshire to 162 from their 20 overs and then chased down their revised target of 120 from 15 overs, doing so with only three wickets down and still in the 14th over!
Key to Friday's victory was the bowling trio of Dillon Pennington, Conor McKerr and Liam Patterson-White who took eight wickets between them.
Daniel Sams went wicketless against Derbyshire but is a world class operator and he could well be in the wickets again on Saturday.
With the bat, skipper Joe Clarke will want to make a contribution after making only one run from three balls in Derby but his opening partner and number three in the order, Lyndon James and Jack Haynes, come into this clash after both making 43 on Friday.
Notts are a side with players in form across their side.

After their home defeat to Northants Steelbacks on Friday evening, Worcestershire Rapids will be looking for improvements across their line-up with both bat and ball on Saturday in Nottingham.
None of the batting line-up were able to make a score over 27 and that is a clear area for improvment for the side in this game.
The opening pair of skipper Brett D'Oliveira and Ed Pollocl along with Adam Hose at number four are their key batters and the team need a contribution from one of those three.
With the ball, the team are heavily reliant on the New Zealand and Australian opening duo of Jacob Duffy and Ben Dwarshuis who took three wickets on Friday. Tom Hinley, who has made the step up from national counties, is another bowler to watch.

Average TurnTrent Bridge is an excellent cricketing venue with a vociferous local crowd and a bouncy wicket. Whoever bats first will be targeting a total of 180-200 to be competitive.
Trent Bridge has for a long time been an excellent batting wicket and we expect both teams to want to bat first and put the opposition batting line-up under pressure in the second innings.
After their contrasting results on Friday evening, we expect the fortunes of the teams to continue on the same trajectory. That's to say that Worcestershire do not have the batting depth and we are backing Notts Outlaws to get another victory.
