The Super Smash group stage is drawing towards a conclusion with this Match 27 out of 30. We'll then move onto the Eliminator followed by the Final and, in spite of a few washouts earlier in the competition, it has been a very entertaining tournament so far.
Auckland currently sit top of the pile with Wellington two points behind them. The bottom three teams in the table also have the most games left to play so there is every chance that the table will finish with plenty of teams grouped together!
Central Districts can go a long way to guaranteeing their place in at least the Eliminator with a win in Dunedin.

It was a very disappointing performance from Otago Volts in their last game, Match 23, against Auckland at Eden Park. Only four of their players made double figure scores as the side were bowled out for 138. Captain Dean Foxcroft top scored with 46 not out from 48 balls and his will be a key wicket once again in this match.
And in spite of taking early wickets with George Worker dismissed in the first over and Sean Solia also going for a single figure score, the Volts were unable to seize the opportunity.
Otago Volts need to produce more with the bat and the ball in this game or their hopes of progression will be finished.

Keeper-batter Dane Cleaver was the star with the bat for Central Stags in their last game as he plundered an aggressive 87 not out from 49 balls. His innings was very entertaining and included 10 fours as well as two sixes. Although there will be a temptation to move him up the order from number three, we expect him to remain in the same spot for this game.
With the ball, Central Stags will be looking to their opening pair of Doug Bracewell and Bevan Small to lead the way once more. Both sent down four overs against Auckland Aces in Match 25 with both picking up a three-wicket haul. Small has a remarkable 11 wickets from his last four games and few would expect his impressive run to end in this match.
The Stags are full of confidence!

There will be rain around earlier in the day but dry conditions are forecast during the match. However, it will be humid so there will be something for the quick bowlers to play with.
This is undoubtedly a good batting wicket and there will be good pace in the surface but the moisture from earlier in the day and the overhead conditions could make bowling a little easier. We expect a par score to be in the region of 170.
We saw Finn Allen smack a quick-fire century after batting first in the T20I here on Wednesday and that innings put too much pressure on Pakistan's reply. We expect the captains to want to do the same in this match and so we predict both will choose to bat first if they win the toss.
The conditions may five Otago Volts a chance in this game but equally their batting line-up may be easily blown apart! We are backing Central Stags to maintain their strong form and to get another win with Otago Volts slumping to another defeat on Friday.
We are backing Central Stags to win this match!
