Oval Invincibles Preview

A brilliant dive by Tom Curran to take the second run on the last ball helped tie what was the best game of The Hundred in its short history so far. Curran played a handy knock of 38 off 18 balls at number 7 while chasing a 139-run target.

Skipper Sam Billings would be disappointed with the effort from the middle-order. While Jordan Cox scored a fifty, it was a very slow approach from the number 3 batter. Heinrich Klaase, Sam Curran, and Billings all failed to make an impact further down the order.

In their previous match, it was Sam Curran and Sam Billings who led the run-chase for Invincibles as they won by 3 wickets chasing 132 runs. Sunil Narine is also a handy batter down at number 8 and this gives Invincibles great depth in their lineup.
