Ratnagiri Jets Preview

The defending champions, the Ratnagiri Jets, are having the worst of starts to their title defense, having now lost their third consecutive match this season. The Jets lost all three matches while batting first, and despite their batters putting up good scores in the first and third matches, their bowlers haven't been able to defend them.

In their last match against the Kolhapur Tuskers, batting first, the Jets posted a challenging total of 173/7. At one stage, the Jets were reeling at 4-3, but their captain Azim Kazi stepped up alongside Divyang Hinganekar and added 91 runs for the fourth wicket. 

Hinganekar went on to score 58 runs in 26 balls, while Kazi missed out on his half-century by three runs, scoring 47 runs in 38 balls. Nikhil Naik once again provided a solid finish, playing a quickfire cameo of 40 runs in 28 balls. 

The Tuskers then chased down the target with ease in 18.4 overs, never allowing the Jets' bowlers to gain any momentum as they built strong partnerships at every stage of the game. Divyang Hinganekar was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/41.

So far in this tournament Dhiraj Phatangare & Azim Kazi with 98 runs & 89 runs have been the mainstay batters in the top order. While Nikhil Naik has scored 85 runs lower down the order striking at 151.79. Diyvang Hinganekar with three wickets tops the bowlers charts.

Satara Warriors Preview

The Satara Warriors are having a tough time in their first season in the Maharashtra Premier League, having lost both matches played this season. In their first match against the Raigad Royals, the Warriors conceded 190/6 despite initially putting their opponents in trouble at 42-4; from that point on, they allowed the game to slip away. Chasing the target, they only managed to score 166/7.

In their last match against the Eagle Nashik Titans, the Warriors scored 116/4 in 15 overs before a rain interruption. Pavan Shah laid a solid foundation, scoring 40 runs in 32 balls, and Om Bhosale continued the good work in the middle overs, scoring 25 runs in 20 balls.

The match was then reduced to five overs, and the Titans were given a revised target of 54 runs, which they chased down in 4.2 overs. Darkunde and Shelar picked up one wicket each for the Warriors.

Hangargekar and Vaibhav Durkunde have picked up three wickets each and are the leading wicket-takers for the Satara Warriors. In the batting department, Om Bhosale is the top scorer with 70 runs.
