Mumbai looking to get a hat-trick of wins against Services when the two teams meet each other at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Mumbai are third in Group E and comes into the encounter after having had a costly loss against Kerala. However, the team recovered quickly from this setback after getting a much-needed victory over strugglers Nagaland. Meanwhile, Services sitting further behind Mumbai with a four-point deficit owing to the latest set of results. Services will be able to cut down this deficit with a victory in the game, but this looks unlikely on the basis of their recent performances.

Services Preview

Services will be keen on setting high standards with the batting once again. In the last three matches, Services have been able to average 200+ in two of the matches. The team came close to getting a positive result against Andhra despite facing a stiff target and it speaks volumes about the strength of the batting line-up. He continues to lead wicket charts for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 after grabbing eight wickets from his four innings at an average of 12.12.

Services Predicted Playing XI:

Kunwar Pathak, Rajat Paliwal, Nitin Tanwar, Vineet Dhankhar, Mohit Ahlawat (c), Arun Kumar, Mohit Rathee, Gaurav Sharma, Poonam Poonia, Vishal Gaur, Pulkit Narang

Mumbai Preview

Mumbai have a very strong batting line-up that puts a massive expectation on the team. They have delivered exceptionally well on the batting front in the four matches even if the game against Kerala finished as a defeat. Mumbai have averaged a Net Run Rate of 10.23 in the four matches and the opposition has a reason to be afraid of the batting line-up.

Shreyas Iyer has been putting on a commanding performance along with Ajinkya Rahane with both players getting 200+ runs. Iyer, particularly, has been impressive in the last four matches after averaging 116 runs at a strike rate of 204. In doing so, he ranks as one of the top batsmen in the 2024 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy stats. Ajinkya Rahane comes as the next crucial batsman with 133 runs from his three innings at an average of 44.3.

Mohit Avasthi is the leading wicket-taker for the team in the 2024 season with 10 wickets, and he is only one away from being able to top the charts. At an average of 15.20, Mohit Avasthi has been doing an exceptional job while Shardul Thakur comes second with seven wickets so far this season.

Mumbai Predicted Playing XI:

Prithvi Shaw, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Shams Mulani, Suryansh Shedge, Hardik Tamore, Shreyas Iyer (c), Ajinkya Rahane, Tanush Kotian, Shardul Thakur, Mohit Avasthi, Royston Dias

SER vs MCA Pitch Report

Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad is once again the venue for a match involving Services. The ground is known for being a big positive for batsmen with the surface providing high scores on a consistent basis. The pacers also tend to do well with speed and bounce.

Toss: To Bat

The recent decision from Services to field in the match against Andhra did not go very well with the team falling short of a big chase. Both the successes for Services at this ground have come when they have been sent to bat first.

The matches feature two powerhouses coming up against each other batting surface. There will be plenty of runs and the difference may come about in the bowling line-up. Spinners are likely to get more attention in the middle overs and this will be the trump card in this game.

Our prediction is for Mumbai to win
