When Surrey and Hampshire met in their two group-stage games in last year's T20 Blast, it was the former who came out on top, winning by five wickets in both cases.
Interestingly, both teams have already picked up a victory in this campaign after batting first, Surrey bouncing back from their opening game defeat by five wickets against Somerset by beating Glamorgan by seven runs, and Hampshire winning their only match against Essex.
Thursday evening T20 games at The Oval in South London are always a raucous affair and we can expect both sides to be well ed across this match.
Victory for the hosts will see them close in on Sussex and Somerset at the top of the table while Hampshire will be looking to extend their current 100% record in the competition.

No matter what the format, Surrey are often able to put out a strong XI for any competition and that is certainly the case in this T20 Blast fixture!
They come into his match after a narrow seven-run win in Cardiff over Glamorgan on Tuesday despite posting only 149/8 after batting first in South Wales.
Jason Roy was the standout batter in that game, hitting 69 runs from 47 balls at number three but with Dom Sibley, Ollie Pope, Sam Curran and Laurie Evans also in the top five, there are plenty of runs in the top half of the batting line-up.
There are also capable batters further down the order in Nathan Smith and Chris Jordan, both of who come into this game after taking 2+ wickets in Cardiff.
Sam Curran took 3/18 against Glamorgan and will be looking to add to his tally of five dismissals so far in this year's T20 Blast.

Surrey may well have strength in their batting line-up, but they will be up against an equally if not stronger top order in this match as Hampshire will arrive at The Oval with a top three who all made half-centuries in their crushing win over Essex last Friday evening.
Openers, keeper-batter Toby Albert and skipper James Vince, made scores of 54 and 62, hitting seven and 13 boundaries respectively, with South African Dewald Brevis showcasing his large talent with 68 runs from 32 balls, an innings which included six sixes!
Hampshire do have plenty of batting ability further down the order if required and all-rounder Liam Dawson showed his ability with 19 not out from just six balls in Southampton last week.
With the ball, the all-rounder was the standout with figures of 4/26 although Scott Currie (3/20) and James Fuller (1/7) also impressed.
On the hard surface at The Oval, expect John Turner and Chris Wood, alongside the T20 specialist Benny Howell, to all be threats.

It will be very humid from start to finish in South London on Thursday with a chance of rain interrupting proceedings briefly. The temperature will be at 16 degrees at the toss but will drop to 14 before the end of the game.

The Oval is an excellent batting surface with the ball flying across the outfield. As a result we can expect some good batting scores although the overhead conditions may bring the bowlers back into the match. A par score will be in the region of 180-190.
There should be favourable overheads for the bowlers throughout this game and with the temperature likely to drop in the second innings, we predict that both teams will want to bowl first.
Surrey showed plenty of character to defend a low total in Cardiff on Tuesday but they will be up against a much tougher and stronger T20 unit in Hampshire for this match. Our prediction is for the visitors to have too much batting depth and to make it two victories from two at The Oval on Thursday evening.
