Pakistan Preview

The Men in Green might make two changes as Mir Hamza and Abrar Ahmed might come into the playing XI in place of Agha Salman and Khurram Shahzad.

The only positive from the opening Test was centuries produced by vice-captain Saud Shakeel and wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan.

In the batting department, the side will be relying on opener Abdullah Shafique, rookie Saim Ayub, wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan, the middle-order trio of Shan Masood, Saud Shakeel and Babar Azam to do the bulk of the scoring in this final game.

In the first innings against Bangladesh, Mohammad Rizwan was the standout performer with the bat and finished the innings with the top-score of unbeaten 171 runs off 239 balls with the help of eleven fours and three sixes. He was well ed by vice-captain Saud Shakeel, who smashed a brilliant 141 runs off 261 balls with the help of nine boundaries. Earlier, opener Saim Ayyub negotiated a tricky period and scored 56 runs off 98 balls with the help of four fours and one six.

After trailing by 117 runs, Pakistan put in an abject batting performance in their second innings and were bundled out for 146 runs in 55.5 overs. For Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan scored 51 runs off 80 balls.

In the bowling department, the side will be relying on the likes of Mohammad Ali, Mir Hamza, Abrar Ahmed, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi to deliver timely breakthroughs.
