Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 110 runs

Sunrisers Hyderabad have hit a bit of form late into the tournament, picking up wins in three of their last four matches.

  • In the last two IPL 2025 matches held at Arun Jaitley Stadium, the chasing team has won with plenty to spare.
  • KKR need both Sunil Narine and Andre Russell to come through with bat and ball if they're going to win their final group game.
  • SRH will be counting on Abhishek Sharma to get them off to another fast start — he’s hit 34 off 17, 59 off 20, and 74 off 41 in his last three knocks.

Back Sunrisers Hyderabad as the winners of this match.

SRH vs KKR Live Prediction

2025-05-25 22:19:35

KKR Score Under 111.5 in 12 Overs @ 1.90 (1XBET)

KKR are under pressure at the moment where their score at the end of 7 overs is 62/3. Back to back wickets have pegged their momentum and with two new batters out in the middle, expect a quiet couple of overs for KKR and we predict their score to be under 112 runs in 12 overs.

2025-05-25 21:42:21

KKR Score Over 72.5 in 6 Overs @ 1.85 (1XBET)

KKR are off to flying start chasing 279 runs, Narine hits two sixes in the 1st over to kickstart their run-chase, with no swing on offer and both the batters having assessed the pitch conditions, expect them to fire on all cylinders in the first 6 overs and we predict KKR's score to be over 72 runs at the end of 6 overs.

2025-05-25 20:39:59

SRH Score Over 262.5 in 20 Overs @ 2.19 (1XBET)

SRH score at the end of 13 overs is 175/2, it's been absolute carnage from Klaasen and Head so far. SRH are currently scoring at 14 runs per over and if they keep scoring at the same rate a score of 270-280 is possible. With 7 overs to go and Klaasen still out in the middle, we back SRH's score to be over 262 runs in 20 overs.

2025-05-25 20:02:02

SRH Score Over 115.5 in 10 Overs @ 1.84 (1XBET)

SRH score at the end of 6 overs is 79/0, a rollkicking start for the men in orange. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head are on a roll and with the ball coming onto the bat nicely and dew setting in early gripping the ball is going to be difficult for the KKR bowlers and there is no turn on offer. We back SRH to keep scoring at 10-11 runs per over and predict their score to be over 115 runs at the end of 10 overs.

2025-05-25 19:41:38

SRH Score Over 67.5 in 6 Overs @ 1.83 (1XBET)

There is pace and bounce in this wicket and the ball is coming onto the bat nicely. With the short square boundaries and pace on the ball runs are easy to come by and with both the SRH openers off to a pretty good start, expect a high scoring powerplay and we predict SRH's score to be over 67 runs in 6 overs.

Andre Russell Goes for a Duck - Double Strike From Harsh Dubey!

Harsh Dubey gets Russell first ball! Absolutely plumb! Dubey bowls a magnificent length delivery, drifting into middle and turning just enough. Russell plays down the wrong line, missing it completely, and is struck flush on the back pad. So confident was the appeal, Russell started walking even before umpire Holdstock raised the finger! A golden duck for the big man, and SRH are absolutely rampant!

2025-05-25 22:22:41

Rinku Singh Flat Bats One Straight to Deep Mid-Wicket

A rank half-tracker from Harsh Dubey, crying out to be smashed for six, but Rinku picks out Nitish Reddy at deep mid-wicket right on the boundary edge. Two boundary balls, two wickets! Everything is going SRH's way as Rinku departs for a quick 9, including a six. This is a massive moment in the game!

2025-05-25 22:16:57

Mlainga's gets his first wicket of the night!

Eshan Malinga gets de Kock! A difficult innings finally ends for the Proteas opener. Malinga delivers a low full toss, and de Kock, struggling for timing all night, holes out to Abhinav Manohar. To add to his woes, a review for a no-ball prolonged his stay at the crease, but the decision stands. De Kock departs for a struggling 9 off 13 deliveries.

2025-05-25 22:05:14

Unadkat Outfoxes Ajinkya Rahane with a slower ball!

Rahane falls to the slower ball! It's that off-cutter again, expertly delivered. Rahane, looking to go big, is completely deceived by the dip and lack of pace, getting a leading edge that lobs high. Abhishek Sharma at cover runs in, positions himself perfectly, and takes a safe catch. Unadkat has two, and SRH are firmly on top! Rahane departs for a quick 15.

2025-05-25 21:51:43

Unadkat Cleans up Sunil Narine!

It's a beauty of a slower off-cutter from Unadkat, on a good length. Narine tries to heave it across the line, but he's completely deceived by the lack of pace, playing too early. The ball sneaks past the inside edge and rattles into the leg stump! A crucial breakthrough for SRH, as Narine departs for a fiery 31 off 16.

2025-05-25 21:40:19

SRH becomes the 1st Team to Score five 250 plus scores in T20s.

SRH have been a force to reckon with in the last couple of seasons and they have notched up the 3rd highest total in the history of IPL (278/3). They also become the first team in the world to score more than 250 runs five times in a T20 match. That is a new record created by the men in orange.

2025-05-25 21:38:29

3rd Fastest Hundred in IPL - Heinrich Klaasen Lights Up Delhi

Heinrich Klaasen's incredible innings featured 9 sixes, second only for SRH to Abhishek Sharma's 10. He also became only the fourth batter in IPL history with multiple hundreds batting at number 3 or lower. His 37-ball century equalled Yusuf Pathan's record for the third-fastest IPL ton and is now SRH's fastest ever!

2025-05-25 20:37:27

Travis Head's Masterful Innings Comes to an End!

Narine gets the big one! Travis Head holes out! Narine floats it up, fuller and a bit wider, inviting the big shot. Head goes for the massive swing but skews it off the bottom of the bat. It's a simple catch for Russell at long-off, who makes no mistake. A magnificent innings from Head, 76 off just 40 balls, comes to an end. KKR finally have the breakthrough they desperately needed!

2025-05-25 20:05:21

Abhishek Sharma's Explosive Innings Comes to an End!

Narine gets the breakthrough! After two mighty sixes, Abhishek Sharma's explosive innings ends! Narine fires it fuller, getting turn outside off. Sharma tries to heave it but toe-ends it straight to Rinku Singh at deep mid-wicket. A crucial wicket for KKR, stemming the flow of runs after a blistering start from Sharma. He departs for a rapid 32 off just 16 balls.

Match 68 of IPL 2025 has Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) facing off against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) this Sunday in Delhi. Neither team has made the playoffs, and this will be the last outing of the season for both. SRH had a rough start but have managed to build some rhythm in the latter stages and will be aiming to close things out on a high. KKR, meanwhile, have struggled to find any rhythm and haven’t looked like the team that lifted the trophy last year. Though they got the better of SRH earlier this year, current form leans toward Hyderabad heading into this clash.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Preview

Sunrisers Hyderabad may be out of the playoff race, but that’s actually worked in their favor. With less at stake, they’ve looked more relaxed and have taken three wins from their last four matches, including a solid 42-run victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their previous fixture.

Their top order is where most of the runs come from. If the openers click—especially Abhishek Sharma—the team usually ends up with a strong score. Abhishek has been brilliant this season, scoring 407 runs in 12 innings at a strike rate of 193.

The middle order has been hit-and-miss. Heinrich Klaasen, Ishan Kishan, and Nitish Kumar have each chipped in here and there— Kishan’s 94 off 48 last time out was a prime example—but none have strung together a consistent run of form. That said, when any one of them settles in, they’re fully capable of flipping the game around.

Lower down, Aniket Verma has quietly chipped in with the bat. He’s striking at 165 and has managed to score handy runs at the end on more than one occasion.

The bowling unit has started to find some rhythm. Pat Cummins is settling in well, and Harshal Patel’s off-pace deliveries have worked nicely during the middle overs. Eshan Malinga has turned heads this season too, picking up 10 wickets in six games with an economy rate of 9. He’s been useful in containing the scoring through the middle and has also done a decent job at the back end.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Predicted Playing XI:

Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan (wk), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen, Aniket Verma, Abhinav Manohar, Pat Cummins (c), Harshal Patel, Jaydev Unadkat, Eshan Malinga, Zeeshan Ansari/ Harsh Dubey Impact Player: Travis Head

Kolkata Knight Riders Preview

Kolkata Knight Riders, last year’s champions, have struggled to find their rhythm this season—just five wins and six losses from 13 matches put them in seventh place. Their last game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru was abandoned due to rain, ending any hopes of a playoff spot. With one game left, KKR will want to end on a high and give their fans something to cheer for.

So, what’s gone off-track this time?

To begin with, the batting lineup has been hit-or-miss. Ajinkya Rahane has been the most reliable with 375 runs in 11 innings, while others haven’t been able to keep things steady. Quinton de Kock made way for Rahmanullah Gurbaz, but the change didn’t bring better results.

Sunil Narine has had a few quick starts up top but hasn’t been able to carry it through regularly. On the positive side, Andre Russell seems to be getting back into the groove—smashing 38 off 21 and then an unbeaten 57 off 25 in the last two games.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi has also been one of the bright spots—286 runs in 10 innings, averaging 35.75 with a strike rate of 145.17.

On the bowling side, things have been more stable. Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora have shared 31 wickets between them, though they’ve leaked runs at the death. Varun Chakaravarthy and Narine have been tight in the middle overs, taking 17 wickets between them. Their eight overs could make a difference again. Russell has chipped in with tight overs late in the game and grabbed important wickets as well.

Kolkata Knight Riders Predicted Playing XI:

Quinton de Kock/Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Sunil Narine, Ajinkya Rahane (c), Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Andre Russell, Rinku Singh, Anrich Nortje, Ramandeep Singh , Vaibhav Arora, Varun Chakaravarthy, Harshit Rana Impact Player: Manish Pandey/ Venkatesh Iyer

Kolkata Knight Riders Actual Playing XI:

Weather Conditions

The pitch at Arun Jaitley Stadium tends to stay true and flattens out nicely under lights. Batters usually feel confident playing through the line here, especially with anything square of the wicket—timing tends to pay off. While spinners might find a bit of grip as the match progresses, it’s usually nothing substantial that affects the game. This is typically a ground where runs come if you're set.

Delhi's weather will be on the warmer, more humid side, but there's no rain expected.

The average first innings score at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium is 171. In the last two matches played here, the team batting first posted totals of 199 and 187, but they were chased down comfortably in the end. Expect another high-scoring game with both teams targeting a total of over 200 to feel confident.

Toss: To Bowl

The previous two IPL 2025 matches at Arun Jaitley Stadium were both won with little trouble by the team batting second. These outcomes make it pretty clear that teams have a better chance when chasing here.

This will be the final outing for both Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2025 IPL, and both sides will want to wrap up their campaigns on a strong note. But at the moment, SRH seem better placed. They’ve won two in a row since the break and are starting to resemble the dominant outfit from 2024 that used to blow teams away with their explosive batting. Their batters are firing again, and the bowling unit is doing its part. KKR, on the other hand, haven’t been in action since May 7, when they went down to Chennai Super Kings. That kind of gap can make it hard to find rhythm, and with SRH looking confident and in sync, they will have the upper hand going into this clash.

Back Sunrisers Hyderabad as the winners of this match.
